Oh purple mountains majesty

On January 13th 2006, I became a U.S. citizen.
It was a long time coming and I am very proud to be an American.
This country has given me so much, and I have been very fortunate since I came here.
Most of you guys in the U.K. will not understand me and think that I am nuts but this is the greatest country in the World.
There is nowhere else I know where everyone is truly equal and one is judged on one's merit rather than one's heritage. It doesn't matter whether you are black or white, rich or poor-- everyone is given a chance and there is NO class or caste system here.
Hey, and they all think that my northern Manchester accent is really cool (who'd a thunk it?).

Wonder if this means you'll have a newfound appreciation for email forwards like 'the crying eagle'
